Nissan punts the SR as the sporty option in the Altima lineup but with the 2.5L in play, its performance remains identical to the other 2.5s. It gets adaptive sport-tuned suspension that stiffens up the ride a little, but with the 19-inch alloy wheels the SR comes with, the ride quality is just far too compromised. The grille is dark chrome, the door handles are color-coded, and it has a charcoal rear diffuser panel and chrome exhausts. It comes with paddle shifters and a manual shifting mode, but they're really just there for display as the CVT doesn't really provide for any engagement. The charcoal cloth upholstery with contrasting red stitching is a nice touch, though. Other additional features not found on the SV include a leather-trimmed steering wheel, lane tracing, illuminated sun visor mirrors, and silver trim finishes with a geometric pattern.
