The Mercedes-Benz EQE SUV offers a number of interior color schemes and even different materials, which means you can customize the inside extensively. The 350 trims get MB-Tex leatherette as standard, in Black/Space Grey, Neva Grey/Sable Brown, or Black/Sable Brown. The same combinations are offered in leather, which comes standard in the 500 trims or adds $1,620 in the 350s, while the Nappa leather upgrade flips the primary and secondary colors around, offering Black/Space Grey, Sable Brown/Black, or Sable Brown, Neva Grey. This costs $2,990 for 350 trims and $1,370 for the 500 4Matic. Regardless of the upholstery you pick, you get three no-cost trim options: Natural Grain Magnolia wood, Natural GrainAnthracite Linden wood, and Backlit Laser-cut Star Pattern. The Anthracite 3d Relief-optic trim costs $540, while Natural Grain Yacht-design Brown Walnut adds $1,515 to the bill.

Despite the ample passenger accommodations, there is limited cargo space inside the Mercedes EQE SUV. With all the seats in place, you only get 14 cubic feet to work with, less than most sedans. Around 55 cu-ft is opened up when you fold the second row down, allowing room for larger items.

Small-item storage around the cabin is limited to the usual suspects, like four door pockets, a center armrest cubby, and a glove compartment. However, the sleek design of the center console leaves little room for bins. There is a small sliding partition that hides the front cupholders, while the rear ones reside in the fold-down armrest.

Living up to its reputation as a high-tech Merc, the EQE SUV comes with a generous list of standard features. The comforts and conveniences can be enhanced with a heated steering wheel, ventilated front seats with massage, heated rear seats, and quad-zone climate control. Meanwhile, the Driver Assistance Package included in the Exclusive sub-trim adds a whole list of additional features like active lane-change assist and evasive steering assist, while the Pinnacle sub-trim adds a head-up display. The standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster can also be upgraded to a 3D version.

The sizable 12.8-inch OLED touchscreen multimedia display controls all the infotainment, which includes wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth streaming, HD Radio, SiriusXM, and navigation. All of this comes paired with a 15-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system. There are steering wheel controls so the driver can stay in control while still flipping through the menus, though voice commands are also accepted after you say "Hey Mercedes". Multiple settings can be saved to personal profiles that are activated by a biometric scanner at the bottom of the screen, meaning you can just press your thumb to the sensor and get underway in seconds with your favorite settings at play.
