尽管熔融“弓”的外观造型the Mercedes-AMG EQS Sedan doesn't polarize opinions as much as the bunker-like i7 with its enormous bucktooth fake grille, it's still quite a departure from the more conventionally proportioned S-Class. The front and rear slope away gracefully to optimize aerodynamics and the grille with its vertical chrome slats is a dummy; the only air intakes are in the lower front bumper - with the ones underneath the headlights aggressively straked. The AMG exterior treatment is rather understated and a bit more differentiation from regular EQSs would not have gone amiss. The headlights are LEDs, along with all the other exterior lights, a panorama roof is standard, and all three trims run on 21-inch AMG twin 5-spoke alloy wheels. Three other wheel designs up to 22 inches in diameter are available, in addition to an AMG Night Package that blacks out all the exterior trim and mirrors.
In terms of dimensions, the Mercedes-AMG EQS Sedan is a large car, but its substantial length of 207.3 inches is a good five inches short of the truly plus-size new BMW i7. The AMG EQS runs on a 126.4-inch wheelbase and has a width (without the side mirrors) of 75.8 inches and a height of 59.8 inches. It sets the scales creaking with a curb weight of 5,952 pounds.

There are ten exterior colors for the Mercedes-AMG EQS Sedan, with seven of them being no-cost options, namely Polar White and six metallics: Obsidian Black, Onyx Black, Graphite Grey, Cirrus Silver, Nautical Blue, and the new-for-2023 Twilight Blue. Three Manufaktur hues cost extra and they are Diamond White metallic and Cardinal Red metallic for $1,750, or Selenite Grey Magno for $3,250. The no-cost AMG Night package blacks out all the exterior trim and mirrors.
The car looks bland in white, so we'd be tempted to go for the alluring new Twilight Blue, which looks stunning in combination with the AMG Night Package.
At $3,250, Selenite Grey Magno is the most expensive shade of paint.
A glass panorama roof is standard on all three sub-trims.
The standard alloy wheels are 21-inch AMG twin 5-spoke items, but various alternatives up to 22 inches in size are optionally available.
