For buyers who like a little more electrification with their Optima Hybrid, the Plug-In offers a larger battery and more powerful electric motor, taking the total system output to 202 hp, but at the expense of trunk volume which drops to 9.9 cubic feet. Additionally, the Plug-In gives buyers 29 miles of all-electric range on a full charge. Styling differs little from the regular Hybrid, but the wheels are swapped out for larger 17-inch alloy wheels, while inside, the eight-inch touchscreen and ten-speaker Harman Kardon sound system available on the Hybrid are standard on the Plug-In.
