2024 Hyundai Kona Trims & Specs

There are four Hyundai Kona trims to choose from: SE, SEL, N Line, and Limited. The SEL can also be upgraded with the SEL Convenience package. In terms of the mechanical specs of the various Hyundai Kona trim levels, two engines, two transmissions, and two drivetrain configurations are offered. Base cars get a 147-hp naturally aspirated 2.0L four-cylinder with a CVT automatic, and the two top trims get a 190-hp turbocharged 1.6L four-cylinder with much stronger performance and an eight-speed automatic transmission. Each of the trim levels offers a choice between FWD or AWD. Exterior specifications include alloy wheels ranging in size from 17 to 19 inches.

The baseline spec is fairly comprehensive, and to this end, all Konas come with a suite of driver-assists such as pedestrian detection, front-collision alert, lane-keep assist, and blind-spot monitoring. The base trim has keyless entry with push-button start, cloth upholstery, manually adjustable seats, manual air-conditioning, a color 4.2-inch driver-information display, a 12.3-inch touchscreen with smartphone mirroring, SiriusXM, HD Radio, four USB ports, and a six-speaker audio system. Higher trims receive a power driver's seat, upgraded upholstery, navigation, a wireless charging pad, heated front seats, an upgraded audio system, and a sunroof. There aren't many options, so for the features you want, you must select the appropriate trim. The Convenience package can be added to the SEL, which upgrades it with additional convenience features and driver assists to nearly N Line/Limited level, but with the base engine.
