2026 Fisker Ronin: What We Know So Far

Model Overview

1,000 hp, butterfly doors, and a folding carbon fiber roof - the Fisker Ronin is a new EV in a segment of one.

The recentreveal of four new Fisker productsmade it obvious that the California-based EV maker is eschewing a formulaic lineup for an exciting, unorthodox range of zero-emission vehicles. The Ronin you see here represents the very best of Fisker, and more so than any other car the company will make, it carves out a new segment for itself. After all, who else is working on a four-door 1,000-horsepower electric convertible right now? Carrying an "ultra-luxury" price, boasting a targeted 600-mile range, and capable of reaching 60 mph in two seconds, there is nothing ordinary about the Ronin. It's got all the makings of a segment-breaking car that will elevate Fisker's brand status in the years to come.

When Is The Fisker Ronin Coming Out?

The release date for the new Fisker Ronin convertible is set toward the end of 2025 in the USA when it is expected to come out as a 2026 model.

What’s The Price Of The 2026 Ronin?

As the brand's halo car, the price of the 2026 Fisker Ronin will start at a staggering $385,000. Fisker says this is the MSRP before incentives, but no amount of incentives will stop this from being one of the most expensive cars in the world. Fisker is accepting reservations for the 2026 Ronin at $2,000 for a first reservation or a cost of $1,000 for a fully refundable second reservation.

There are no direct rivals for this open-top four-door EV, but its price places it within touching distance of the electricRolls-Royce Spectre. This stratosphere of ultra-luxurious EVs will include theCadillac Celestiq, too, but all are unique enough from each other to make this a tough choice for the VIPs that will consider them. Perhaps the only straightforward choice is to buy one of each.

New Fisker Ronin Exterior And Colors

Shown in August 2023, the Fisker Ronin's exterior design looks close to being production-ready. A carbon fiber hardtop convertible, this GT also comes with four butterfly doors. The rear doors are a lot shorter than the ones in front, sort of in the way the Mazda RX-8 had much smaller rear suicide doors, but CEO Henrik Fisker says that the butterfly doors of the Ronin will make it one of the easiest convertibles to get into.

Large wheels, short overhangs, blacked-out A-pillars, and full-width lighting front and rear create quite a visual spectacle. Other sporty touches include a vented hood, shapely fenders, and rearview camera mirrors. The body of the Ronin looks sleek and athletic, with overtly muscled haunches. Together with the big, bold wheels, the Ronin looks fully capable of the performance specs the manufacturer has claimed.

It's too early to tell how many colors will be available for the Fisker Ronin, but we expect it to be heavily customizable in light of its sky-high price tag. Some of the colors that could be inherited from the Ocean crossover include Night Drive, Blue Planet, and Sea Grass, but we'd be surprised if the Ronin didn't have a bespoke palette.

Fisker Ronin Dimensions

As with many of its other specs, we can't tell you exactly what the dimensions of the Fisker Ronin are yet. However, its ability to seat five occupants suggests that its length, width, and height could be greater than typical two-door GTs. It sits low to the ground, too.

Even with its carbon fiber roof, this will probably be quite a heavy vehicle with a curb weight in the region of 5,500 pounds.

Fisker Ronin Powertrain And Performance

Fisker has kept the intricate details of the Ronin's powertrain quiet, but the little that has been revealed is enough to get us excited. Three electric motors will produce over 1,000 hp combined. With all-wheel drive, the Ronin will charge from 0-60 mph in two seconds, making it one of the quickest cars in the world.

Nothing else has been shared about the performance of the Ronin, but since it takes its name from a film with some of the most spectacular car chase scenes ever filmed, we assume that the Ronin will acquit itself well in the handling stakes, and not just as an Autobahn mile-muncher.

Range, Charging, And Battery Life

Fisker doesn't want Ronin customers who go on high-speed cross-country trips to worry about range anxiety, so this electric convertible's integrated battery pack is large enough for a targeted range of over 600 miles. If achieved, that would be a phenomenal number, and we wouldn't put it past Fisker since its Ocean crossover's EPA rating超过了initial estimates.

MPGe ratings, charging speeds, and the size of the Ronin's battery are yet to be confirmed.

Fisker Ronin Interior And Cargo

We haven't had the opportunity to look at the Fisker Ronin's interior, but we expect it to have no shortage of sustainable materials. At the price, it will also showcase the company's best technologies.

There will be five seats in the Fisker Ronin's cabin, and as a "true five-seat GT," it sounds like the second row will cope with adults, not just children. That would be a change from just about every other convertible on the market, where rear-seat space is typically accepted as abysmal.

Several novel features from the Ocean could be replicated inside the Ronin, including the 17.1-inch revolving touchscreen that can switch from portrait to landscape when you aren't driving and want to enjoy the latest movie. Being a convertible, the Ronin's roof should be able to fold quickly at the touch of a button without any further intervention from occupants, and automatic parking should be available too. We expect a high-end sound system and all the latest driver-assistance functions.

The cargo space in the Fisker Ronin may not be great, considering it has a folding hardtop roof. That said, the company put in the effort to include a fifth seat; perhaps we'll be pleasantly surprised at how much cargo this drop-top can carry. There is also the chance that it will have a small frunk.
