2025 Fisker Pear: What We Know So Far

Model Overview

Fisker's vision of a sustainable city-sized EV looks like this...

TheFisker Oceanhas just started deliveries, so we're excited that the automaker has chosen this time to reveal more information about upcoming products.Alongside the Ronin and Alaska, we got a good glimpse of the Pear. While 'Pear' is ostensibly an acronym for 'Personal Electric Automotive Revolution,' it's the rather off-beat name of Fisker's compact all-electric SUV - or, as the brand puts it, a small sustainable city EV. There's a lot to talk about since the Pear is somewhat revolutionary, as the name would imply. Not only is it built on a new SLV-1 platform, but it's built using Fisker's Steel++ development process that results in the use of 35% fewer parts. This should be excellent in terms of maintenance and repair. Still, featuring cutting-edge tech, a futuristic design, some clever tricks for packaging and space, and a unique interior, it looks like a fantastic product. And that's before we tell you it has a sub-$30k starting price - before tax credits.

When Is the 2025 Fisker Pear Coming Out?

We've not been given a hard-and-fast release date for the Fisker Pear, but the carmaker has said it's scheduled to arrive in the middle of 2025.

What The Price of the 2025 Fisker Pear?

There may not be much info available, but the starting price of the 2025 Fisker Pear has been made public. It will arrive in the USA in four trim levels, with a base cost of $29,900. It remains to be seen what the trim levels will add to that MSRP. As it stands, that makes the Pear the cheapest Fisker in the stable - and that's before federal incentives. Since it'll be built in the USA, the Pear will start at $22,400 when taking savings into account.

New Fisker Pear Exterior and Colors

The first thing you notice about the exterior of the Fisker Pear is that it's very clearly an EV. Much like the current trend with electrified vehicles combining modern and futuristic for the aesthetic, Fisker's design elements come together rather nicely in the Pear. This includes an ultra-wide wraparound windscreen and ultra-slim LED lighting under the lip of the hood. The Pear wording is illuminated. Below this is a bold and rather aggressive blacked-out grille that sits low into the bumper.

We can also see the SolarSky roof that we know from the Fisker Ocean. This comprises photovoltaic solar panels integrated into the panoramic glass roof, which can also slide and offers UV protection. This may be standard higher up in the Pear range. Filling the arches of the Pear are wheels in a fresh design which will likely range in size from 20 inches to 22 inches. Along the side, the door handles are flush with the bodywork, and the Pear doesn't have traditional exterior mirrors. Instead, the Pear features smaller stalks that presumably use cameras to display the necessary blind spots.

Party tricks that the Pear will offer are a Houdini Trunk (a hideaway liftgate that slides out of the way to give you access to the cargo area) and a front storage compartment called the 'Froot' (for "front boot").

我f the Ocean SUV's paint palette is anything to go by, we can expect exterior colors for the Fisker Pear like Big Sur Blue, Great White, Night Drive, and Blue Planet, as well as some of the more adventurous hues, including Solar Orange, Red Planet, and Sea Grass. There is a lovely lime-green (and apt) seen in some pictures unique to the Pear, but whether it'll realize remains to be seen.

Fisker Pear Dimensions

We haven't been given dimensions for the new Fisker Pear crossover, but we know it's a smaller vehicle than the Ocean with a 'compact body length'; that being said, it's supposed to house as many as six passengers. The small crossover looks to be roughly the size of aChevrolet Blazer EV. We'll have to wait for the automaker to release specs pertaining to length, width, and heigh in the near future. From the reveal event, however, it's clear to see how low it sits to the ground.

The same applies to curb weight, although expecting a figure around 4,500 pounds as a start is not unreasonable.

Fisker Pear Powertrain and Performance

Fisker hasn't given any information about what powertrain to expect in the Pear, but it's likely to be a similar setup to what the Ocean SUV has, at least in the base FWD model. The single-motor setup makes 275 horsepower, which will be enough for an early-six-second 0-60 mph sprint in the Pear, which is smaller and lighter than the Ocean. The latter requires 6.9 seconds to get to 60 mph in this guise.

我们不确定绩效导向的版本n with AWD will be made available, but given that we know there will be four trims, it's likely that the trim levels will mirror the grading system in the Ocean: Sport, Ultra, Extreme, and possibly a unique launch edition. The higher-spec models in the Ocean range make between 540 and 564 hp, which aren't likely to be emulated in the smaller crossover.

我n the Ocean lineup, there are various drive modes that can be selected, with Earth and Fun mode being the default. Hyper gets added higher up in the range.

Range, Charging, and Battery Life

There's no guessing what kind of range and battery life to expect from the 2025 Fisker Pear, and since we don't have any powertrain info, it's hard to speculate. But since the automaker is focused on letting their customers 'reinvent their relationships with mobility,' we doubt they're going to offer just the bare minimum.

To get an idea of what Fisker is capable of, the Ocean comes with a range between 250 miles and 360 miles. Two battery options are offered on this car, with the Touring Range battery on the Sport being the least efficient, and the Hyper Range battery offering the most electric range. The batteries are also fast-charging capable and come with a ten-year/100,000-mile warranty.

Fisker Pear Interior and Cargo

The 2025 Pear is unique inside in that it can be had as either a six-seater or a traditional five-seater. Seating for six is done by equipping two rows of bench seating; from what we can see in the reveal, the driver seemingly gets their own seat, and the two front passengers share a bench. While this immediately sounds incredibly cramped, the Pear seems to be relatively spacious, thanks to clever packaging. In the more traditional five-passenger layout, a large center console is added up front. The seating setup is exceptionally clever, too, with Lounge Mode allowing the front seats to be moved forward and folded down. The rear seats in the Fisker Pear also fold flat.

我n the five-seat configuration, the large 17.1-inch rotating display from the Ocean can be added in, which creates a home-theater setup. The dashboard echoes an uncluttered, modern feeling and is largely devoid of buttons and controls in the footage. It sports numerous cubbies and spaces to hold things, as well as bands to hold things down. Each door gets an armrest, too. We're not sure about interior color schemes or materials for the Fisker Pear, but sustainable is probably the name of the game, and we like the exterior-color matching blue trim on the example at the reveal, pictured here.

While we haven't been given the standard features list or an idea of the size of the basic touchscreen display, it's likely to be jam-packed with tech, especially in upper trims. We know that Fisker's Blade supercomputer will power all the tech inside the Pear and allow all updates to occur over the air.

There isn't any info on cargo space or official volumes for the Froot, but with the thoughtful design we've seen thus far, we'd be surprised if it was anything other than highly practical.
