It's the first one ever built.

Modern McLarens such as the track-focused600LTand720Ssupercar are proof that its cars can be practical things that can be driven on a daily basis while still offering blistering performance. It is astonishing that these cars are even considered street legal: they are racecars for the road, and McLaren does little to hide this fact, especially when it comes to cars such as theSenna, which is as close to a racecar as you're going to get. But there's one McLaren that recently went up for sale that pushes these boundaries even further.

We're talking about the street-legal McLaren F1 GTR Longtail that werecently covered. It's quite possibly the most exclusive McLaren out there, and now we get to see it put through its paces on video.

McLaren has a rich history in motorsport, and even names its cars after famous races like the24 Hour of Le Mans. The F1 GTR on offer here goes on sale on the anniversary of the McLaren F1 GTR #59's win at the famed Le Mans track 25 years ago. McLaren built only ten of these cars in Longtail guise, with this being the first. The chassis seen here was first used as a factory development prototype, which was later converted for street use by Lanzante and Gordon Murray Design.

It is not clear as to how many miles this car has on the clock, but what we know is that it has a long and illustrious racing career behind its name, having made its debut at the Suzuka 1000 km endurance race in Japan, and has even made an appearance at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

In the video description, the car is said to have a price tag of an incredible $15 million. If that sounds a little pricy, don't forget that a road-legal 1994 McLaren F1 with an LM-spec package sold at auction for an astounding$19.8 millionlast year.
