But that doesn't mean that it's time to slow down. Pitched in a lighthearted manner, the commercials imply that drifting superstars are about to give you a masterclass in the arts of speeding and sliding sideways. Appropriately titled, this is the GR86 FasterClass.

Filmed as if for a movie, the above clip starts with the message, "When the student is ready, the master appears," before a familiar figure appears. Fans of the Toyota GR Supra and the tuning scene will recognize Stephan Papadakis from his videos detailing the build of a1,000-horsepower B58 enginewhen the aftermarket world was still unsure of whether this motor would be a worthy successor to the legendary 2JZ-GTE. Drifters will also know his name too, as a sponsor for a number of the world's finest Formula Drift competitors. Unfortunately, while Ryan Tuerck and Ken Gushi (their "class" is shown below), as well as Fredric Aasbo and Hunter Taylor, make appearances and show the GR86 breaking traction in a series of exciting maneuvers, these "professors" won't be offering you any one-on-one lessons in killing rubber.
