The exotic V10-powered hypercar completed the climb in 45.34 seconds.

The麦克拉伦独自的GThas won the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed Timed Shootout. The single-seat hypercar's winning time was recorded on Sunday, following the cancelation of Saturday's proceedings forthe first time in 30 years.

German driver Marvin Kirchhofer was at the helm of the Solus GT and blasted up the Duke of Richmond's driveway in 45.34 seconds.

While this time is not enough to rank the Solus GT among the10 fastest runs ever, it does count as the third fastest production* vehicle, right behind the Nio EP9 electric supercar at 44.32 seconds, but still some way off the current record holder, the McMurtry Speirling fan car at 39.08 seconds.

*The term production vehicle is used loosely as the Solus GT and Nio EP9 are not road-legal.

Before the Solus GT's Sunday run, it went up the hill several times to thrill the crowds with itsglorious V10 engine.

Sunday's record-setting run can be viewed in the video above, while the onboard footage can be viewed at the bottom of this article. Both videos show the track-only Solus GT's stiff suspension setup and how it quickly changes direction.

The aerodynamic elements on this car are obviously for more than just for show. The various trick add-ons produce 2,646 lbs of downforce on the 2,205-lb car. The Solus GT is one of those cars that can theoretically drive upside down.

For the uninitiated, the Solus GT's 5.2-liter race-derived Judd V10 produces 829 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque, allowing the single-seat hypercar to hit 60 mph in just 2.5 seconds. It also revs beyond 10,000 rpm, making it the ultimate track day toy.

Only 25 McLaren Solus GTs will ever be made, and deliveries will occur later in 2023. However, it's not a car you can go out and buy, as you had to be on a special list to get one, likely by a special offer from McLaren to owners who already own the creme-de-la-creme of the brand's most iconic cars.

Each owner will receive an FIA-homologated race suit, helmet, and HANS (Head And Neck Support) device, plus a driver-development coaching program teaching owners how not to put it into the wall.
