Tesla Cyberquad Is How Rich Parents Spoil Their Kids

Tesla showed off its perpetual vaporwareCybertruckjust over two years ago. Since then it's been plagued by delay and supply chain shortages, as has the rest of the world during the pandemic. In hindsight, it was a terrible time to launch a car. But during that reveal, there was a secondary reveal of theCyberquad, and ATV with styling that looks like the truck.

At the time the Tesla CEO said he wanted it to come out at the same time as the truck. No problems so far as the current date for the pickup is at the earliest 2022. But, as a meta play on design, Tesla has created and is selling a Cyberquad for kids, complete with an electric powertrain.

The Cyberquad will set you back $1,900 for little Jimmy or Gracie. For that you get a full steel frame, cushioned seat, adjustable suspension, rear disc brakes and LED light bars, according to the website. It's battery can take the quad 15 miles on a charge, at speeds of up to 10 mph. A Model S Plaid it is not.

We can't quite gauge the size from the picture, but it says the toy is for kids 8 years old and up. It also says it will ship in 2-4 weeks and is NOT guaranteed for Christmas. It's actually not guaranteed at all, because it's out of stock. Now were wondering if this was like the new Tesla Roadster, just build one, take a bunch of money and move on to something else.
