TEASER: Lotus Emira Interior Looks Superb

TheLotus Evorais being retired in the US and elsewhere. The Elise and Exige haven't been sold here for years either. But the British carmaker is about to embark on anexciting new journey. TheLotus Emira, dubbed "the others sports car" by the legendary UK automaker, will make its official online debut on July 6 followed by its public reveal at this year'sGoodwood Festival of Speedthat kicks off on July 8.

Lotus releasedseveral teaser imagesof its new high-performance and lightweight sports car earlier this month to celebrate the Emira's pre-production status at the Hethel, Norfolk factory.

Today, Lotus has released a fresh teaser in the form of a video showing the upper portion of the car's steering wheel and some digital driver's cluster displays.

Wrapped in Alcantara, there's a yellow strip at the 12 o'clock position. The Lotus logo is proudly situated directly in the wheel's center. The Emira is no ordinary Lotus. It will be the company's final combustion-engined powered model. The all-electricEvijahypercar is the start of the company's pure battery-electric future. Because the Emira has been in development for some time, it was impossible to alter course and make it an EV. We doubt that's what customers would have wanted anyway.
