Take A Good Look At The 2021 BMW M4 Convertible

Just over a week after the newM3andM4debuted, BMW presented the brand new4 Series Convertible. It's now only a matter of time before the M4 also drops its top, but while the official reveal is still likely several months away, our spies have provided some close-up shots of the next-generation M4 Convertible in prototype form being put through its paces by a BMW test driver. In truth, this isn't the first time we've seen the newM4 Convertiblebeing tested, but this latest prototype has started strip teasing since our last sighting.

年代ince the new M4 Coupe has already been revealed in all its glory, we now have a clear idea of what its convertible sibling will look like. BMW didn't bother covering up the sides, revealing the prototype's Frozen Blue paint finish.

All of the M4 Coupe's design changes will carry over to the convertible, including the massive grille that's dividing BMW M enthusiasts. Sporty enhancements such as wider fenders, a prominent front apron, and a diffuser incorporating a quad exhaust system will set the M4 Convertible apart from the standard droptop 4 Series.

While the previous model was fitted with a hardtop, the new M4 Convertible will have a lighter soft-top roof, which was folded up on the prototype. In the regular 4 Series droptop, the roof is around 40 percent lighter and can be opened or closed in 18 seconds up to 31 mph. It's also no secret what will power BMW's new open-top M sports car.
