The new Jack Roush Edition Mustang unveiled at SEMA 2019 is as exclusive as it is powerful.

Here we were, thinkingFord's new Shelby GT500was about as potent as a Mustang could get. Then the doors opened at SEMA to show us just how wrong we were.

Enter the new Jack Roush Edition – themost powerful MustangthatRoush Performance, in all its tuning and racing expertise, has ever put out for the road. Just how powerful, you ask? Try 775 horsepower on for size, more than the GT500's 760 (or so), with 670 lb-ft of twist to go with it, all courtesy of a 5.0-liter supercharged V8.

It also has an active exhaust, upgraded cooling system, Brembo brakes, variable carbon-fiber rear wing, and a specially calibrated MagneRide suspension with lowered springs. Roush also enhanced the pony car's appearance with a new grille, forged alloys, a full aero kit, blacked-out rear panel, and an enhanced cabin in which to experience its prodigious performance potential.

The Jack Roush Edition is made to honor the company's namesake on the occasion of his (forced) induction into the Nascar Hall of Fame earlier this year, having already been named to the Automotive Hall of Fame two years ago.

"There's no better way to honor my father's incredible legacy in automotive performance and motorsports than with our most powerful Mustang ever," said Jack Roush Jr. "This car features the most cutting-edge combination of Roush components ever assembled and we can't wait for the lucky owners to experience what this machine has to offer."

Those hoping to get their hands on one had better act fast, because Roush Performance will only make 60 of these for the North American market, and another ten for export. And though we don't know how much it will charge for each, we'd be surprised to see it undercut the new factory Shelby GT500's $70k sticker.
