Porsche 911 S/T's Most Expensive Option Costs $43,390

And ticking all the boxes leads you to a 911 S/T you can buy with Bentley money.

You can now configure your dreamPorsche 911 S/Tonline; you know, the one that you'll probably never afford if you're part of 99% of the auto enthusiasts who've fallen in love with the newcomer.

Special edition cars aren't always special, but the 911 S/T certainly is. With performance bits adopted from various iterations of the 911, such as the 518-horsepower 4.0-liter flat-six from the GT3 RS and six-speed manual adapted from the regular GT3, it's thepurest representation of 911 performance, an instant icon meant to celebrate the nameplate's 60th anniversary.

More importantly, the 911 S/T is the lightest of the 992-generation 911, but that doesn't mean it's light on features. Beyond the tastefully made $13,500titanium timepiece, buyers can waste thousands of dollars tailoring just about every element of the S/T to their liking. While tinkering through theonline configurator, we found many we'd splurge on and found out that the most expensive option costs a princely sum of $43,390.

Exterior: Only Black And White Are Free

Paint color options are the first things you'll spend on when configuring your 911 S/T - provided you're not relegating yourself to black or white.

Special colors such as Shade Green Metallic, GT Silver Metallic, Gentian Blue Metallic, Ruby Star Neo, and Ice Grey Metallic are available for $4,220. Meanwhile, Porsche also offers the "Paint to Sample" option for $20,960, which allows you to haveseveral variations of any base coloryou can think of.

But since we're splurging here, we took it up a notch and chose the "Paint to Sample Plus" for a whopping $43,390 - the most expensive option for the 911 S/T. The configurator defines this as "Individual color development and individual paintwork for any technically feasible solid or metallic color based on a submitted color sample."

So yes, if you want your 911 S/T's paint color to match your dog's fur, you can probably do it.

Heritage Design Package: All Or Nothing

If you've already decided on the color, next up is how you'll dress up your 911 S/T. The default color for the forged magnesium wheels is Silver, but you can choose between Satin Dark Silver or Satin Black for $1,290.

But we chose the $20,360 Heritage Design Package, which visually celebrates the 911's 60th birthday. This package includes plenty of exterior bits, such as the exclusive Shore Blue Metallic paint color (though you can still combine Paint to Sample Plus with the package) and custom motorsport decals that display a number between 0-99 on the side (similar to the 911 Sport Classic), Ceramica-painted wheels, historic Porsche crestson the hood and wheel center caps, silver grilles, Gold Porsche and 911 S/T emblems, and a black S/T specific indoor car cover with "60 Years of the 911" logo.

Many of the exterior options are not compatible with this package, though, which does limit your options.

We combined the Heritage Design Package with the exclusive taillights option (blacked out) at $990, auto-dimming mirrors with rain sensors at $700, and the most expensive lighting option: the black LED Matrix headlights with Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) at $4,010.

Interior: Customize Vs Keeping It Classic

There are several ways to personalize the 911 S/T's interior for a price, thanks to the Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur program. You can choose the color of the seat belts and stitches, design the door sill graphic, trim the passenger cupholder with leather, or even create bespoke logos for the leather-edged floor mats and center console box. You can even choose the color of your key fob and the pouch it goes with.

However, since we went for the Heritage Design Package, options are limited. With the package, you get a two-tone theme of black leather and Classic Cognac semi-aniline, combined with an extensive splash of leather all over. The seat centers are fabric in Classic Cognac with black pinstripes, while Porsche's historic crests are found on the steering wheel, seat headrests, and key fob. Even the floor mats go hand-in-hand with the Heritage Design theme.

The $300 Chrono package is automatically ticked with our Heritage Design Package. We also opted for the $1,900 Sport Seats Plus backrest shells in leather with inlay, also in Classic Cognac color.

Additional Equipment: Must Haves

Beyond the options (or lack thereof) that go with the Heritage Design Package, there was plenty of equipment we chose with the 911 S/T.

Traffic sign recognition added $450, while the rear parking assist feature increased the final price by $610. The bigger fuel tank warranted an additional $230, while the ambient lighting was priced at $580. We will definitely put dashcams on our car, so preparation for that was an additional $130.

Bose环绕声系统是一亩t-have for best audio listening pleasure, adding $1,600. Since we didn't want our 911 S/T to get scratches underneath, we also took the $3,670 front axle lift system.

And, of course, we would like to receive our car in the best way possible, so we chose thePorsche Experience Centerdelivery option (either in Los Angeles or Atlanta) for $2,000.

With a base price of $290,000 and $81,770 worth of options, the Porsche 911 S/T we built has a price tag of $373,420, including the $1,650 handling fees. Going for the customized route instead of the Heritage Design Package would have totaled $366,540.
