One Million Tesla Vehicles Expected To Get Major Sound System Update

Tesla vehicles are expected to receive a welcome sound system update if the latest rumors are to be believed.

Sources toldBGRthat the automaker is getting ready to introduce Dolby Atmos to new and existing vehicles, after consulting with several record labels for months. More than one million existing Tesla models are expected to benefit from the software update, plus all newly-manufactured examples.

It makes sense that Tesla would want this technology in its vehicles, as rival brand Lucidimplemented the technology in the Air luxury sedanlast year, making it the first car in the world to have integrated the feature.

Dolby Atmos has made quite a splash in the automotive industry and can be found in other high-end cars likethe new Volvo EX90, the Lotus Eletre, and the Mercedes-AMG EQE SUV, to name a few.
