Before then, enthusiasts will be treated to a sneak peek of the CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing during the Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona endurance race on January 30. Thanks torecently leaked details, we already know the all-important performance details of Cadillac's new high-performance sedans. Under the hood, the CT4-V Blackwing will be powered by the same twin-turbo 3.6-liter V6 as the ATS-V. In the ATS-V, this unit generates 464 horsepower and 445 lb-ft of torque, but the outputs for the CT4-V Blackwing haven't been confirmed yet. A six-speed manual will be offered as standard, or a new optional ten-speed automatic transmission can be installed. 0-62 mph will take 3.8 seconds before the CT4-V Blackwing tops out at 189 mph.
Slotting above the CT4-V Blackwing, the CT5-V Blackwing will utilize a supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 that powered the CTS-V and C7 Corvette Z06. This unit will generate over 640 hp, making it the most powerful Cadillac ever made and enable it to hit 200 mph.
Like the CT4-V Blackwing, a six-speed manual will come as standard or a ten-speed automatic will be optional, and 0-62 mph will take 3.7 seconds. As well as offering more power than the regular CT4-V and CT5-V, both Blackwing models will feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a 12 o'clock red racing stripe, while the CT5-V Blackwing will be available withcarbon-fiber racing seatsand optional carbon-fiber ceramic brakes.
Both models will also be available with carbon-fiber exterior accents and feature performance suspension and Brembo brakes. All the leaks suggest Cadillac's new V-Series Blackwing cars will be well worth the wait, but we'll find out when both cars debut in just a few weeks. After the reveal event, Cadillac's new Blackwing performance sedans will go on sale in late summer with limited availability.
