New Lamborghini Teaser Reveals SUV Ride Height For First Raging Bull EV

The latest teaser shows us the face of the first fully battery-powered Lambo.

Monterey Car Week may officially be the coolest 'car show' of them all if you're a supercar fan, and this year, a Lamborghini fan, as the Italian supercar manufacturer is revealing a prototype of its first-ever EV. We now have a new look at the unnamed car, showcasing its front end and what appears to be an SUV-like stance.

This is contrary to the first teaser, which showed a profile view of a car that looked adead ringer for the four-door Estoquesedan concept. The new teaser, a video posted across Lamborghini's social media platforms, shows it won't quite be the sedan we thought. The clip itself is short, only 15 seconds, but a quick shot of the front was shown, giving us a full view of a high-riding vehicle.

Despite the hazy imagery, it's quite clear that the upcoming Lambo EV has considerable space between the underside of its body and the ground. The headlights are narrow, too, with four separate illuminations clustered into two pairs. They are underlined by two thin LED strips serving as DRLs. The light setup is unlike any existing Lamborghini, even theupcoming PHEV versionof theUrus, and certainly far from the Estoque's Huracan-esque front lighting elements.

We're not expecting the new Lamborghini to become an off-road-ready EV, though the 2+2 configuration on a not-an-SUV grand tourer points us to an Italian rival: Ferrari.

We're talking about thePurosangue去年,法拉利了。在fact, Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelmann already hinted about the similarity and rivalry over a year ago. In an interview withTop Gear, Winkelmann confirmed that its first EV would be a 2+2grand tourer with increased ground clearance.

However, he also mentioned that it would be ready by the end of the decade. The car to be revealed tomorrow is only a prototype and not the finished product, with the latter expected closer to 2026.

This won't be a Lamborghini as we know it, but hopefully it will allow the Raging Bull to continue building high-power supercars like theRevueltofor years to come.
