It could fetch up to $850,000 at auction.

A beautifully preservedPorsche 911 GT3 RSRhas come up for sale in Switzerland as part of RM Sotheby's St. Moritz auction, and it's a pretty unique example because it has had only one owner since new, and that owner never took it to the track. Just 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) have been registered on the car, all of which are said to be the result of pre-delivery testing.

Just 35 Porsche 911 GT3 RSR models were produced on the 997-generation platform, with this one delivered to Widberg Motorsport AG on 24 April 2008. Unsurprisingly, the listing is expected to sell for between CHF650,000-CHF750,000, or roughly $735,000-$848,000 at the time of writing.

将利用winni那些崇高的数字ng bidder of a car powered by a 3.8-liter flat-six producing a maximum of 485 horsepower, all of which goes to the rear wheels through a six-speed sequential transmission. The engine has a redline of 9,000 rpm, and with no sound deadening, the experience must be absolutely invigorating. Hopefully, the next owner will take advantage of this in some historic motor racing series, but we doubt that Carrera White paintwork will ever see a scratch in its life.

Also included with the sale are an Automobile Club l'Ouest technical passport, a 2007-issued FIA homologation form, and a Porsche Motorsport Datenblatt (datasheet).

Along with the low volumes produced and the fact that this example is in near-perfect condition, the listing should attract a lot of money because the GT3 RSR comes froma program that ended last year, meaning that no further RSR racers will be built on the911 GT3platform. Instead of creating a 992-generation RSR, Porsche decided to focus on Le Mans with the963 hypercar. However, you can still get 911-based racers directly from Stuttgart, includingthe GT3 Rwith a 4.2-liter flat-six.

This 2008 911 GT3 RSR is the end of an era, and whether its new life sees it head to the track or hide in some private collection, it's certainly worth the high asking price.
