Before the EQT arrives as a production car, Mercedes says that it will first reveal the T-Class and thereafter the electric variant. Ideally, the T-Class will be a smaller version of the V-Class with the same "high-class appeal, comfort, functionality, connectivity, and safety." The Concept EQT will set itself apart with various EQ design cues like a black panel front fascia with a full-width LED light arrangement, while an electric longboard will be "perfectly integrated into the load compartment," giving buyers more electric fun once they've stopped driving.

Gordon Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler Group, says, "Sensuous shapes, elegant trims, and sustainable materials show that this van clearly belongs to our Mercedes-EQ family."

As expected, both versions of the small van will feature the MBUX infotainment system, with the electric version including displays for charging current, energy flow, and consumption. The Concept EQT will also be spacious, measuring 194.7 inches in length with a width of 73.3 inches and a height measurement of 71.9 inches. Sliding doors will feature on both sides of the car, while three rows of seating promise space for seven adults. A panoramic roof "with a starscape lasered into it" will feature too. The T-Class is expected to launch in 2022, while the EQT should reach production shortly thereafter.
