Mercedes Unveils The Van Of The Future

Mercedes-Benz may be one of the greatest automakers on the planet, but it can never rest on its laurels. Fresh off ofthe revealof the spectacularMercedes-Benz EQSlast month, the German marque is maintaining its momentum with the recently launchedMercedes-EQ sub-brand. A couple of weeks ago, itteased a new electric family vancalled the EQT. The stunning vehicle has now been revealed as a concept, but make no mistake, this car will see production.

So take a look at the photos below and make up your own mind about its appearance before we consider what we can expect from the sleek city shuttle.

Before the EQT arrives as a production car, Mercedes says that it will first reveal the T-Class and thereafter the electric variant. Ideally, the T-Class will be a smaller version of the V-Class with the same "high-class appeal, comfort, functionality, connectivity, and safety." The Concept EQT will set itself apart with various EQ design cues like a black panel front fascia with a full-width LED light arrangement, while an electric longboard will be "perfectly integrated into the load compartment," giving buyers more electric fun once they've stopped driving.

Gordon Wagener, Chief Design Officer Daimler Group, says, "Sensuous shapes, elegant trims, and sustainable materials show that this van clearly belongs to our Mercedes-EQ family."
