More Than 12 High-End Reveals Coming To Monterey Car Week

It's time to get excited for The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering.

The 2023 edition of The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering is almost upon us, and it's time to start getting excited for all the exciting exhibitions that will take place during Monterey Car Week, especially as more than a dozen automotive debuts have been confirmed. Last year, the festival of fantastic vehicles wasjam-packed with astonishing new cars, one of which was the totally unexpectedKoenigsegg CC850, and we're sure niche luxury automakers from across the globe have lots to present once again.

This year is expected to be just as special, if not more so, as the event is celebrating its 20th anniversary in 2023. It kicks off on Friday, 18 August, in its usual location of Carmel, California.

The 2023 edition will have four featured classes. The first is called the50th Anniversary of the 1973 RS Carrera, arguably the finest Porsche 911 ever created. The second class focuses on Stuttgart's first hypercar, the Porsche 959, while the third is titled Early Bentley1950s R-Type Coupe.

Finally, Eyes on Italian Design will take a closer look at prototypes, one-offs, and production cars penned by the Italian Car Designer of the Century, Giorgetto Giugiaro,whose revolutionary designshave fascinated auto enthusiasts for decades.

"As we look back over 19 years of incredible gatherings, we are honored to have hosted the collectors, brands, and car lovers who make this one of the most esteemed automotive events in the world," said Kai Lermen, general manager of the Quail Lodge & Golf Club, where The Motorsports Gathering is being held. "The Peninsula Signature Events team works hard to cultivate a luxurious and welcoming atmosphere each year, and we cannot wait to celebrate our 20th anniversary with our friends."

The usual Pre- and Post-War Sports and Racing Cars exhibition will return, as will The Great Ferraris, Custom Coachwork, The Evolution of the Supercar, and Sports and Racing Motorcycles. Alongside the collector vehicles, several automakers have confirmed their participation.

The brands announced thus far include Acura, Aston Martin, Bentley, Bugatti, Czinger, Gordon Murray Automotive, Gunther Werks, Hennessey Performance, Kia, Koenigsegg, Lamborghini, Lexus, Lotus, Maserati, McLaren, Pagani, Porsche, Rimac, Rolls-Royce, Singer Vehicle Design, and Zenvo Automotive.

What each will reveal remains to be seen, but we know that Hennessey has acelebrity-owned Venom F5to display. Expect to also see Koenigsegg's Gemera, McLaren's 750S, and the new Singer DLS-Turbo. Hopefully, some surprises are in store too.
