Here's What's New On The Stellantis Uconnect 5 System For 2024

The automotive group has applied updates across its multiple brands.

Stellantis has upgraded its Uconnect 5 system for 2024, introducing new features and services to improve the ownership experience.

For the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer,Grand Wagoneer智慧,牧人和大切诺基模型h Uconnect5 NAV and Jeep Connect/Wagoneer Connect, there are two new features. This includes Adventure Guides and GPS Trail Logs, making it easier for owners to find off-road trails. We'll expand on this further down. Jeep has updated the Wrangler and Grand Cherokeewith several changes for 2024.

Over at Maserati, the newGranTurismoand Grecale receive the Maserati Intelligent Assistant. Both vehicles receive connected services, and for electric models, the Dynamic Range Mapping function calculates the range using the navigation based on the vehicle's state of charge. The system then provides updates should the vehicle require recharging and will provide a list of available charging stations.

Other 2024 models, like theAlfa Romeo Tonale、吉普Wrangler, and Dodge Hornet, receive Uconnect 5 as standard.

Aside from that, the vehicles mentioned above are also fitted with Alfa Connect, Jeep Connect, and Dodge Connect. Once linked, owners access a host of safety and convenience features.

This includes five years of the Vehicle Performance Package, which provides over-the-air (OTA) updates and vehicle health reports. Owners also benefit from a ten-year subscription to the Safety & Security Package. This introduces valuable features such as vehicle theft alerts, roadside assistance, and automatic SOS.

These Connect apps boast a customizable interface and give new owners a unique way of learning about their vehicle with a digital owner's manual. However, connected services like drive alerts, navigation, and remote operations require a subscription or trial period.

The Tonale and its Giulia and Stelvio siblings take things a bit further. There's a three-year trial of the Assistant and Navigation Packages, which consists of connected traffic services. OTA map upgrades and remote vehicle operations.

Stellantis says a three-month 4G Wi-Fi hotspot trial (with 3 GB of data) lets users assess Alexa Built-In. This allows owners to stream music, access various features, and ask for directions. If they enjoy the feature in the first three months, it is available for a monthly fee.

But it's not just private customers who benefit from Uconnect 5 updates. Fleet managers can make their lives easier with the Fleet Collect system, which enables them to enroll multiple vehicles to receive connected services. This lets them keep tabs on the cars and related data and track important information such as servicing and maintenance.

Rental car companies can even gain access to an application programming interface that can help them speed up the check-in and check-out process for vehicles in their fleet.

Finally, the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer,Wrangler, and Grand Cherokee models also receive the Jeep Connect Off Road Pages+ Package. The automaker says this makes it easier to plan trips, thanks to a two-year trial.

With more than 200 off-road trail guides, off-road enthusiasts can quickly locate and navigate to the trailhead. With the annual Adventure Guide All-Access Membership, more than 3,000 trails are waiting to be explored.

And choosing a trail that appeals to you has never been easier. Maps can be downloaded in advance, and one can even view photos and highlights of a particular course. Difficulty ratings are also implemented so novice off-roaders aren't overwhelmed. Moreover, the GPS will work even without Wi-Fi or cell service, much like Google Maps'latest update for national parks.
