Here's What's New For The 2022 Jeep Renegade 4x4

The blocky and popularJeep Renegadereturns for 2022 sporting the same standard 1.3-liter turbocharged four and nine-speed automatic as last year. New highlights include a newAltitude Package, a new standard 8.4-inch touchscreen on Sport and Latitude models and a gentle redesign of the body with changes to the grille, fog lamps, mirror caps and rear valence.

It competes in the compact SUV segment with the Chevy Trax, Ford EcoSport, Nissan Rogue Sport and Honda HR-V. Of those players, the Jeep definitely has the best off-road credentials with several versions of 4x4 offered.

The Renegade has four driving modes for all but the Trailhawk: Auto, Sand, Snow and Mud (Trailhawk includes a mode forrock crawling). It gets a 21:1 crawl ratio, 8.7 inches of ground clearance, 8.1 inches of wheel articulation and can ford water 19 inches deep. All of which is pretty impressive for a vehicle of its size. It can also tow up to 2,000 pounds.
