Owners of the 2024 Mustang are in for a treat, as Ford has just announced a host of new exciting experiences for 2024, ranging from lifestyle events, on-track driving courses, and a special online portal for Mustang drivers.

For a start, Ford will host a destination driving event at its Performance Racing School at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. Mustang EcoBoost andMustang GTowners can choose from various classes, including track driving, autocross, drifting, and even line-lock burnouts.

Those who enjoy taking their Mustangs on long road trips will appreciate the cross-country events held in 10 markets across the United States. This will let owners interact with fellow Mustang fans while participating in lifestyle and motorsport-themed activities.

The Blue Oval will also introduce an online digital portal, giving Mustang owners a place to gather. They can interact, get advice, and discuss their favorite muscle cars here.

"Ford Mustang fans make this car what it is - a global icon for performance and excitement. And now, we're giving owners a chance to connect regardless of distance and share their passion," said Mustang Brand Manager Joe Bellino.

Mustang Dark Horseowners aren't left out of the festivities. The Mustang Dark Horse Track Attack will also take place at Charlotte Motor Speedway and is an exclusive event for owners of the most powerful 5.0-liter V8 production Mustang.

Owners will receive "personal attention" on the autocross, skid pan, and the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. The program is free, and owners can register from January 2024 onwards. The event does not include transportation or lodging, though.

So what can Dark Horse drivers expect?

After an owner's reception, attendees will enjoy classroom and on-track instruction. Dark Horse drivers will be taught how to use the no-lift shift system and control the rear-wheel-drive brute on the autocross and skid pad. Later, drivers will be let loose on the Charlotte Roval in three 20-minute sessions. Lastly, they'll be treated to a hot lap with a professional wheelman in the driver's seat.

The Dark Horse isnot your average muscle car. Described as the most "track-capable" Mustang yet, it receives many upgrades that make it perfect for track duty. This includes an auxiliary engine oil cooler, a lightweight radiator, uprated cooling fans, heavy-duty front shocks, and Brembo six-piston brakes, among other things.

Ford introduced a similar concept for Bronco Raptor owners earlier this year. Owners of the range-topping model can hone their off-roading skills at theBronco Off-Roadeo Raptor Experiencein the Mojave Desert.
