After whittling down 32 nominees to just seven cars, the 2014 European Car of the Year shortlist has been announced. In alphabetical order, the chosen cars are: BMW i3, Citroen C4 Picasso, Mazda 3, Mercedes-Benz S-Class, Peugeot 308, Skoda Octavia, and Tesla Model S. 58 judges from 22 European countries will now subject the cars to an intensive test drive before a winner is announced on March 3, the eve of the Geneva Motor Show.
