Diving deeper into the specifications, you'd think the Lambo would walk away the easy winner. After all, the standard Aventador SVJ has a dry weight of 3,362 pounds, whereas an M8 Coupe has a curb weight of nearly 4,300 lbs. That said, the BMW has a torque advantage as its V8 is turbocharged, whereas theLamborghini's V12 is naturally aspirated.

Fast-forward to the 18-minute mark, and the BMW shockingly leaves behind the Lamborghini. A performance report from later in the video showed that the M8 reached 62 mph in 2.87 seconds and completed the quarter-mile in 10.32 seconds.

A second run saw the M8 come out on top once again, with 0-62 mph taking just 2.78 seconds this time and the quarter-mile dropping to 10.2 seconds. By comparison, the best that the Lambo could do was 0-62 mph in 3.09 seconds and the quarter-mile in 10.49 seconds.

While our Russian isn't strong enough to decipher the specific modifications on each car that were likely explained in the video, it's clear that forced induction, slick gearboxes, and all-wheel-drive systems have transformed even big luxury coupes like the M8 into true supercar slayers. It makes it all the more disappointing that the M8 Coupewon't be importedinto the US for the 2021 model year.
