DBS Volante vs. SLS AMG Roadster: Tiff Needell Decides

Comparison /25 Comments

The Aston Martin DBS Volante and the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Roadster out on the test track. What better way to spend a weekend?

Tiff Needell clearly has one of the best assignments in the world. His task: test drive both the Aston Martin DBS Volante and the Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster on the track in order to determine which is number one. But first, a few specs about each car to give you some better background. The DBS Volante is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 with 510hp. The SLS AMG Roadster, by comparison, has a 6.3-liter V8 that produces 563hp - and a total of 10 percent more torque.

And just to make Needell's experience behind the wheel of both cars more interesting, he's on a wet track where his driving skills need to be used to their fullest. Regardless of which car you prefer, each one sounds absolutely wonderful with their respective engines roaring. Enjoy the video.
