Chevy Just Delivered The World's First Sixth-Gen Camaro In Kickass Fashion

A car this awesome calls for a celebration.

Say what you want about Danica Patrick, but the reality is that she's a better driver than just about 99 percent of all people on that planet. As such she's the perfect person to deliver the first sixth-generation Camaro to a customer. The delivery took place at the Texas Motor Speedway, one of the stops on the automaker's Find New Roads tour. Alican "Turk" Boyacioglu of Wichita, Kansas, is the lucky first owner. Boyacioglu ordered the SS, which means the first Camaro delivered is a V8.

Yeah, the turbo-fours aren't actually being delivered until next year but who really cares about a detail like that? The point is that a V8 was first! Big engines still belong in muscle cars, turbocharging won't kill American muscle, etc… Anyway, Patrick handed off the keys and posed for the photos. We can't be sure but we think it's a safe bet that Boyacioglu just wanted to hop in his new muscle car and haul ass back to Kansas. Doing so would have been easy as the SSpacks a455-horsepower 6.2L LT1 V8. Whether or not it'sfaster than atuned Toyota Sienna is another story.
