Only 99 will be produced.

Bugatti has teamed up with Adidas to release a limited-edition line of soccer cleats (or football boots as the Brits prefer to call them) that perfectly blend beauty and agility. Called the Adidas X Crazyfast Bugatti, 99 pairs of the shoes are set to be auctioned off later this month and will be unveiled on the field this November by AC Milan left-winger Rafael Leao and Al-Ittihad striker and 2022Ballon D'Orwinner Karim Benzema.

"Bugatti is a brand renowned for its innovations and engineering ingenuity. Always inspired by the vision of it creates incomparable automotive masterpieces, " says Wiebke Stahl, Managing Director at Bugatti International. "We share this relentless drive for perfection with Adidas, who apply the same rigorous approach to their boots, with ever lighter and more effective designs.

The X Crazyfast shoe was the starting point for the collaboration, with its innovative Speedframe sole plate technology and Aerocage innovation.

Similar to the carbon fiber monocoque and W16 engine that propels every Bugatti Chiron, it's this expert engineering that allows wearers to be as quick and explosive on their feet just like the hypercars that come out of Molsheim.

With Adidas' engineering in place, Bugatti then brings its "form follows function" philosophy into focus by adding its expert design touches. The shoes feature the brand's iconic black and blue colorway that is associated with the likes of theChiron Pur Sport. Carbon fiber has been worked into the inlay as a nod to the brand's extensive use of the material, and the bottom features a gorgeous shade of blue that appears to shimmer in the light.

The company has then added the phrases "Create the Incomparable" as a nod to the company's greatest value and "Impossible is nothing" as a nod to Adidas' relentless pursuit of success.

The initials EB for Ettore Bugatti can be found on the back and side of the shoe as well as Adidas' three stripes.

99 pairs of shoes are going up for auction on Adidas' Collect Web 3 platform from November 8-11. From November 13 onwards, buyers of the shoes will receive a digital shoebox that can be redeemed for a physical pair and an NFT pair of the shoes. The only way to purchase the shoes is with cryptocurrency and they have a minimum bid of 0.2 Ether (around $360 at today's rates). For those not well versed on such things though, "users have a direct on-ramp from traditional currency in the auction using MoonPay."

We imagine the shoes will sell for stupid amounts just like Bugatti's hypercarsand put on even fewer miles. At the very least they look attractive because that's not something we can sayabout all Bugatti collaborations.
