They're based on the new Silverado and Sierra pickup trucks.

TheBlazernameplate is, perhaps, one of Chevrolet's most historically significant nameplates, but the latest model doesn't quite live up to its predecessors, which were based on the long-running C/K Chevy trucks. Thankfully, a company specializes in converting newSilveradoand Sierra pickup trucks into modern-day iterations of the iconic K5 Blazer and Jimmy off-roaders.

Flat Out Autos is responsible for the delightful two-door SUVs you see below and is currently showcasing the pair at SEMA 2023 in Las Vegas. Both vehicles result from months of development and arduous work; these are not cut-and-shut projects. The pair started life as single-cab work trucks and were substantially overhauled.

According to Flat Out Autos, the Silverado is powered by a 5.3-liter V8 engine but benefits from a Whipple supercharger. Other revisions include 37-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires and specially tuned suspension from Dirt King, along with Fox coilovers.

The exterior resemblesthe desirable ZR2 trimdown to the vivid Glacier Blue paintwork. Flat Out Autos resprayed the vehicle from its standard white finish and added flared fenders and several other eye-catching upgrades. Under the carbon fiber custom top - built by Sankuer Composite Technologies - you'll find the roll bar and second row of seats. It may not be an official GM product, but it's more of a Blazer than the current model will ever be.

Speaking of the interior, the seats have been trimmed in red leather, providing occupants with a premium feel. Similarly, theGMC Sierra, which has been transformed into a Jimmy, has received a classy Pacific Blue Katzkin leather interior.

Flat Out Autos says the chassis of the Sierra was shortened by 22 inches and put together with specially constructed quarter panels that were fused to the cab.

The firm has previously crafted K5-inspired body panelsfor a fleet of new Tahoes.
