/Comments

Available now on a variety of Audi RS models.

Thefirst-ever Audi RS car, the Audi RS2, was never sold in the United States. It came out 25 years ago in 1994 after being co-developed with Porsche and quickly helped launch Audi's performance division that still exists today. To celebrate the history of the RS2, Audi Sport GmbH is releasing an exclusive equipment package for theTT RSCoupe, RS4 Avant,生活费双门跑车, RS5 Sportback, RS6 Avant, andRS7 Sportback.

The "Anniversary package 25 years of RS" is available now and will pay homage to the original RS2 from 1994. On the outside, Anniversary package cars will receive matte aluminum and gloss black trim pieces and on the inside, they will receive special blue accents.

"All our RS models are strong characters. The RS 2 Avant from 1994 already represented our philosophy of strong performance, individuality, and full everyday usability. This is the basis of our success story," says Oliver Hoffmann, Managing Director of Audi Sport GmbH. "For our anniversary package, we placed the focus on individuality. The exterior and interior make reference to our first RS model, the RS 2 Avant."

The RS 2 Avant was the first-ever high-performance wagon from Audi with its 2.2-liter inline-five cylinder engine producing a whopping 311 horsepower. The anniversary package cars can also be painted in the same shade of Nogaro Blue found on the RS2 upon request but Mythos black, Nardo gray, and Glacier White are available should you want a different color besides blue.

一个特殊的puddle light showing the number '25' is projected on the ground when the door is opened and is also displayed on the wheel center covers. The wheels themselves are designed in a two-color theme featuring silver and gloss anthracite. Inside, the interior is finished mostly in black with cobalt blue accents in Alcantara on the floor mat piping and the 12 o'clock marking on the steering wheel. Just like the original RS2, the seats are made from a combination of Nappa leather with Alcantara centers. A blueish contrast shines through the perforation in the leather, allowing for ventilation for the first time on an RS seat.

Audi has only announced pricing for the Anniversary package in Germany and the rest of Europe, meaning we may not be getting this awesome option in the US. Since we never had the RS2 in the first place, it would be strange to offer a package celebrating its history. Pricing for the Anniversary package is€9,350for the TT RS Coupe,€10,900for the RS 4 Avant, RS 5 Coupe, and RS 5 Sportback, and€14,500for the RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback.
