BMW Announces New Engines, Color, And Options For Several Models

BMW has been on a roll lately,revealing its updated grand tourer, the 8 Series (including the high-performance M8 range), along with a special edition variant of the X2 SUV. The brand is showing no signs of slowing down, bolstering the range for the 2 Series Coupe, Active Tourer, and 4 Series Gran Coupe.

Optional driver assistance systems including Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go will be made available on the 2 Series Active Tourer, X3, and X4 models. The 4 Series Gran Coupe, i4, iX, and high-performance M5 Sedan will gain more color options, upholstery choices, and alloy wheels. BMW M models, in conjunction with the M Sport package, will also be available with unique BMW Motorsport emblems to celebrate the performance arm's 50th anniversary. Furthermore, all BMW iX derivatives will receive Parking Assistant Professional, allowing the electric SUV to be maneuvered via smartphone.

An all-wheel-drive variant of the 4 will make an appearance in Spring 2022. The 430i xDrive utilizes the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with 245 horsepower. Mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, this can hit 62 mph in 6.1 seconds. This is the same engine fitted to the more compact230i Coupe, which is already available in the United States.
