Courtesy of a German Car Forum reader, the images show the new S-Class – codenamed W222 – will be wider, lower and longer than the outgoing model.

While the stock wheelbase is expected to follow the existing model's fairly closely, a long-wheelbase variant will also be rolled out at launch sitting 130 mm longer than the stock S-Class. The brochure reveals three powerplants will be available when the new S-Class launches in Europe. The S350 will sports a 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V6 rated at 255 hp; the S500 comes with a 4.7-liter turbocharged V8 good for 449 hp; and the S400 Hybrid will combine a 3.5-liter gasoline V6 with an electric motor for 302 hp. In addition to new styling and dramatic new lines, the S-Class will showcase the latest in state-of-the-art technology.
