Bentley Rolls Out Four New Special Editions Under Mulliner Centenary Collection

Special Editions /Comments

The collection celebrates Bentley's 100 years of working with its retail partner in Zurich, Schmohl AG.

Bentley is on its way to becoming afully electric automotive company by 2030, but the shift wouldn't be possible without the partners that helped Bentley stand the test of time. One of which is Schmohl AG, Bentley's retail partner in Zurich, and the British luxury automaker has rolled out a new collection to celebrate its 100th anniversary.

Dubbed Bentley Mulliner 100 Anniversary Collection, the range is based on four Bentley models -BentaygaS, Flying Spur Speed, Continental GT, and Continental GTC Speed. To personalize the collection, Mulliner developed a new Slate Blue Metallic exterior color, matching Slate Blue Metallic Styling Specification, and '100' welcome lamps.

Meanwhile, all models except the Bentayga get to boast a rear spoiler. But at least the brand's SUV entry got aone-off that celebrates diversity and inclusioninstead earlier this month.

Moving into the interior, Bentley integrated Cognac main hide and Beluga secondary hide along with diamond quilt contrast stitching. The dashboard and door panels are finished in copper stone dual finish veneer, with Diamond Knurling Specification to brightwork as standard. And, of course, to mark the extraordinary feat, the headrests are embedded with the '100' emblems.

No performance tweaks were mentioned in the press release. What we know is that the models are either powered by a 4.0-liter V8 twin-turbo or a W12 engine. The latter will exit the brand's portfolio in favor of its electric shift, with the last exampleleaving the factory in April next year.

"A centenary is a key milestone and a special celebration. Schmohl AG was formed in 1923, the same year the Bentley 3 Litre became the brand's first car to compete at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, setting the fastest lap in the process. The new 100 Anniversary Collection cars reflect a proud partnership with Bentley, offering unique features to honor our special relationship," said Roderick Pike, General Manager of Bentley Zurich.

"We are delighted to be celebrating this milestone with Bentley Zurich who have been with us since 1950. Switzerland is an important market for Bentley Motors Europe and with this collection we honor and highlight our achievements over the years. At the same time, with our Beyond100 strategy we are also looking forward towards an electrified range by 2024," said Balazs Rooz, Regional Director of Bentley Motors Europe.
