Audi A6 Allroad Transformed Into Porsche-Rivaling Sleeper

ABT has worked its magic again.

German tuning house ABT is known the world over for turning ordinary Audis intosupercar-beating monsters. We've covered some of its recent creations, which includes anRS6 Avant, 4.0升的双胞胎-turbo V8's normal power output of 592 horsepower increased to an astonishing 740 hp. That is hypercar territory. It has also built anRS7with more power than aLamborghini Aventador, so it's safe to say that these guys know exactly what they're doing.

That leads us to ABT's latest creation: transforming a humble A6 Allroad into a fierce sleeper that can take out some more exotic cars. ABT has touched most of Audi's range of cars in one way or another, but the A6 Allroad has unfairly been given the slip for some time. Well, that has now been corrected.

ABT has focused on this family-friendly wagon and the end results are impressive. ABT started with the 55 TFSI that comes with a 3.0-liter turbo V6 engine, and without any hardware upgrades, and a simple flash tune, has managed to increase the stock figure of 340 hp to a more serious 408 hp. That's an amazing jump for a software-only upgrade.

After that, ABT moved to the most powerful diesel variant in the lineup, the 55 TDI which comes with a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6. Stock power has been increased from 349 hp and a meaty 516 lb-ft of torque, up to 384 hp, and a bone-crushing 560 lb-ft of torque. That's a ton of power for a wagon that isn't considered a performance model.

The 50 TDI model also gets a power boost of 44 hp and 37 lb-ft of torque. Another highlight is ABT's Sounds Control system that can be adjusted to deliver just the right amount of noise from the newly tuned engine.

Over and above the engine upgrades, ABT offers the A6 Allroad with two choices of wheels, namely the FR in 20-inch or 21- inch sizes, or the GR, a stunning multi-spoke wheel in 20-inches. The interior can be upgraded with a new engine start-stop button and shift knob cover, both finished off in carbon fiber. If you want to go all out, you can even get an ABT logo projector light when entering or exiting the car.
