Finally, Aston Martin's First Customer Valkyrie Has Been Built

TheAston Martin Valkyriehas had one of the most troublesome gestation periods of any hypercar in recent memory, bar perhaps the Mercedes-AMG ONE. We've been getting teasers and updates over the past few years, but in the same period, we've also seen Aston go back and forth on whether it is truly committed to finishing the Valkyrie project. Fortunately, Aston Martin has finally got its act together and has allowed us tohear the epic engine, revealed ahardcore AMR Pro version, and even created aspectacular Spider variant. With all this going on in the foreground, Aston has been working behind the scenes to build the regular Valkyrie, and now the first customer example has been completed.

Production of the Valkyrie is now in full swing, with deliveries expected to begin in the coming weeks. As Aston Martin's first-ever true hypercar, everyone is very proud of the work that has gone into this labor of love, not least of which is Tobias Moers, who praised the team that has brought the car this far: "The Valkyrie is born out of the steadfast dedication of a large group of highly skilled engineers and technicians who have worked tirelessly to get Valkyrie to the production stage," lauds the Aston Martin CEO. "I'm sure our customers will be delighted with what they have achieved."

Unfortunately, Aston Martin has not provided many images of the first completed customer Valkyrie, but we can see that it is finished in Aston Martin Racing Green. Whatever the reason, we're sure that the owner is happy to learn that his or her Valkyrie is almost done after over 2,000 man-hours of hand-building brings each example to life.

Only 150 of these hypercars will be built, with Moers hailing it as "a truly incredible car, an F1 car for the road." With so few being built, collectors will likely snap them up and put them in storage, but we're forever hopeful a few will take them out and use them as intended. When you have a hybrid V12 powertrain with 1,139 horsepower on tap, it'd be a crying shame not to.
