Americans Can't Get Enough of The BMW i4

Electric cars are becoming increasingly popular, not just with automakers who keep revealing new variants, but with buyers too. The Ford Mustang Mach-E and F-150 Lightning have captured the imagination of the American public, and on the other end of the scale, upmarket vehicles like the Porsche Taycan arealso in great demand. The same applies somewhere in between, with BMW's i4 electric four-door coupein high demand too. If you head over to BMW's USA website to try to order a new i4, you'll learn that you're in for a long wait as the first batches of both the sleek more-door coupe and its even more premium sibling, the iX SUV, have already sold out.

TheBMW iX年代UV began production back in July and has been a remarkably popular option with buyers. A month after production started, we reported that the first allocation for the SUVhad sold outthrough June 2022, indicating that buyers are eager to get behind the wheel, even though this is an all-new car with very few real-world reviews out. That's good for BMW, and it seems that the i4 is set to follow the same course. The very first series-productionBMW i4has just been completed at the automaker'snewly revamped Munich plant, but just like the iX, if you don't already have your name down for one, you'll be waiting at least until the first allocation is completed in June of next year.
