80% Of 2024 Ford Ranger Buyers Choosing 4WD

福特has shared how its customers are personalizing their 2024福特Rangerorders, which makes for exciting reading.

According to Ford, the three top configurations are the XL STX 4WD in Oxford White, the XLT Sport 4WD in Cactus Gray in 301A specification with the optional towing package, and the Lariat Sport 4WD in Shadow Black, also with the towing package. This shows a solid interest inthe entire range, from the entry-level workhorse to the luxurious top-end models.

We find it interesting that the Ranger Raptor is not included in the top three, seeing how it is the cheapest way into Raptor ownership, but it may have something to do with the fact that the configurator isn't yet officially live.

However, Ford divulged that Shelter Green Metallic and Shadow Red are the most popular Raptor colors. If you want to stand out a bit, Velocity Blue or Azure Gray is the way to go. A lot of Ranger Raptor owners will use the car as intended. Ford says 40% of customers have gone for the available beadlock wheels and Raptor graphics.

Around 80% of customers are selecting the 4WD option. The Raptor is the only model equipped with 4WD as standard, while the XL, XLT, and Lariat can be ordered with rear-wheel-drive or apart-time four-wheel-drive systemwith a low-range transfer case. Going for this option turns the Ranger into quite an impressive off-roader. This option costs $3,645 on the base XL but drops to $3,485 for XLT and Lariat trims.

It also appears that Rangers will be working hard, with 70% of customers opting for a tow hitch. These customers also want to make the towing experience as easy as possible, adding Pro Trailer Backup Assist and Trailer Brake Controller. This means more people are comfortable paying for the $825 Advanced Towing Package to equip the abovementioned features.

福特also offers the Advanced Towing Package Plus, which adds all of the above, plus a reverse parking aid, adaptive cruise control with lane centering and stop and go, front parking sensors, a 360-degree camera, connected navigation, and an enhanced active parking assistant. It costs $2,305, which may be the main reason why.
