And gets price cuts across the range for the new model year.
Nissan is introducing a new design option for the 2024Nissan Titancalled the SV Bronze Edition Package.
It costs $2,980 and is available exclusively on SV trim models. It adds several black and bronze elements to the truck, including 20-inch bronze wheels, full LED headlights, a gloss-black front grille surround, a black front bumper, a black sports bar, and Bronze Edition floor mats. The so-called bronze package does not include much bronze, making it feel like a phoned-in special edition.
Those bronze wheels contrast beautifully with the green exterior hue, making more of an impact than last year'sMidnight Edition. It is to be expected, however. The Titan isbelieved to be on its last legsand won't be replaced with an all-new model.
Nissan also updated the pricing and dropped the base Titan S and premium SV King Cab 4x2 from the range.
The SV, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve trims are all $120 cheaper than last year, starting at $45,770, $53,580, and $59,440, respectively. If you want to go all in, expect to pay $62,750 for the Platinum Reserve 4x4 model.
The heavy-duty Titan XD also drops the S trim, while the SV, PRO-4X, and Platinum Reserve prices have been reduced by $120. These models now start at $51,930, $57,890, and $65,840, respectively.
The prices mentioned above do not include the $1,895 destination fee.
All Titans are powered by a 5.6-liter V8, which produces 400 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque. Nissan has always claimed it offers best-in-class output figures, but Ford's new Super Duty has usurped it. The base 6.8-liter V8 produces 405 hp and 445 lb-ft, while the 7.3 Godzilla V8 (standard on upper-trim models) provides 430 hp and 485 lb-ft.
The Titan has always been hampered by the sole engine option and Ford's dominance in this particular segment.
All trucks ship standard with Apple Carplay (wireless on upper trims) and Android Auto, and the robust Nissan Safety Shield 360 provides six driver assistance systems. The standard five-year/100,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty is rather impressive, too.
It's an honest truck that will get the job done in most circumstances, but just not worth the money once you get to the upper trims. 2024 may be its last model year as Nissan diverts fundstoelectrify the Frontier.
