Although theChevrolet Malibustill endures, other four-door Chevy sedans have fallen victim to more fashionable SUVs and crossovers in recent times. Production of the full-size Impalacame to an endlast year and there is no direct replacement in sight. But while traditional sedans have had a hard time on local soil, there are some markets where the body style is enduring. To prove the point, Chevrolet has just revealed the 2022 Cavalier Turbo in Mexico. Replaced by theCobalt, the Cavalier went out of production in the United States back in 2005 but will live on in another region of North America with this latest model.

Chevy describes the 2022 Cavalier Turbo as an all-new model but it is pretty much the same vehicle as the Chevy Monza that has beensold in China since 2019. It's not a bad-looking sedan, although few would describe it as exciting. It comes with LED headlights and 16-inch alloy wheels. Inside, there is an 8-inch infotainment touchscreen and safety gear like blind-spot monitoring. The bigger news is the introduction of forced induction power, hence the new name. However, Chevy hasn't shared the engine's specs, saying only that it will be paired with a six-speed automatic.
