2014 Honda Civic Tourer Breaks Cover

Just a couple of days ago did it become official that Honda will berevealing the production-spec Civic Tourerat the Frankfurt Motor Show next month? We've seen a fewspy imagesof the car over the past few months, and even then it was evidently clear it'd strongly resemble the concept version. And just a few hours ago, Honda released these photos of the production-spec version. It looks fantastic and it's one of thebest wagondesigns we've seen in years.

But as we all know by now, it' ain't coming to 'Murrica. Based off the Civic five-door hatchback, the Civic Tourer was developed in Europe specifically for that market, and it comes with class-leading trunk space with the rear seats folded. Power comes from either a 1.6-liter Earth Dreams diesel four-pot with 118 horsepower or a 1.8-liter i-VTEC with 140 hp. Other interesting bits include a brand new Adaptive Damper System that helps to enhance stability with heavy cargo loads and various driving conditions. More details are forthcoming as we get closer to Frankfurt.
