If you like Toyota and just want a capable workhorse without any of the luxuries or conveniences, then the SR is the trim to go for as the cheapest, bare-bones model. With that said, however, infotainment and safety systems are still relatively comprehensive for a base model. There’s full smartphone integration with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and Amazon Alexa. Toyota’s Safety Sense P suite of advanced features is also standard, included is a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, auto high beams, and radar-guided adaptive cruise control. The SR is configurable in double cab form with standard bed and long bed conversions.
