The only surviving child of Enzo Ferrari has specced his Purosangue to resemble his father's 400 Superamerica.

TheFerrari Purosanguelooks fantastic from any angle, but in green, as specced by the son of founder Enzo Ferrari, it's even more special. Ferrari may ormay not have sold its soulby introducing the body style, but it works. Would Enzo have loved it?

His son certainly does.Piero Ferrari, Enzo's only surviving child, has taken delivery of an exquisite custom Purosangue inspired by his father's very own 400 Superamerica. Painted in Verde Dora, the V12-powered four-door Ferrari looks absolutely superb, recalling the distinctive hue worn by Il Commendatore's personal car.

With the help of Ferrari'sTailor Madedesigners, Piero Ferrari was able to recreate Enzo's tasteful color combo all these years later. It's a unique shade and compliments the graceful lines of the Purosangue.

The Vice Chairman of the company went for a carbon fiber roof, eschewing the heavier panoramic glass option. Aiming for a blend of refinement and performance is tricky, but Piero has struck a fine balance by opting for Special Diamond-Cut Forged wheels painted in opaque Winter Grey. This complements the elegant paintwork and carbon fiber roof rather nicely.

Following in the footsteps of Enzo's 400 Superamerica, the Purosangue's cabin has been trimmed in rich Jade Brown leather. There are several modern touches, though, such as the carbon fiber inlays on the dashboard, which are uplifted by subtle copper-colored borders.

Interestingly, Piero opted to delete the Prancing Horse from the front fenders, as he believes the Purosangue is instantly recognizable as a Ferrari. Overall, we think it's an incredibly tasteful spec and one worthy of carting Signore Ferrari around in style.

As with every Ferrari, the Purosangue is privy to an immense amount of customization options, asevidenced by the configurator. But if you want a truly unique example, be prepared to pay considerably more than the $400,000 starting price.

This Purosangue is a beautiful throwback for both Ferrari and Piero himself, who will undoubtedly enjoy driving a car that resembles his beloved father's 400 Superamerica.

Aside from that, it showcases the sheer lengths Ferrari's Tailor Made program is willing to go to. The automaker will do just about anything to please a customer (within reason) and has created some special automobiles, including a Romainspired by Italian and Japanese design. Put simply, Maranello's in-house design team can offer you something far classier than anyaftermarket company can hope to achieve.

As for Enzo's 400 Superamerica, you will be pleased to know the car now resides atthe Revs Institute in Florida.
