2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB SUV Safety and Reliability

As the 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB SUV is a relatively new car, both the IIHS and NHTSA are yet to perform a crash test for the electric vehicle.It's worth noting, however, that the EQB achieved an overall rating of five stars in the Euro NCAP evaluations.

The 2023 Mercedes-Benz EQB range comes equipped with an array of safety features. Of course, there are ABS brakes, traction control, stability control, and seven airbags, but the EQB SUV also ships standard with some impressive driver assist technology.

Active brake assist, attention assist, crosswind assist, and blind-spot monitoring are standard. This should provide an EQB driver with plenty of assistance in daily driving and emergencies, but there's plenty of optional equipment for those who require more. Active emergency stop assist and lane keeping assist are some of the handier features available, but the standard level of safety features is already impressive. We'd spring for the second-row side airbags, as this is a family vehicle.

On the convenience front, the EQB SUV receives a reverse camera. If the windscreen wipers are activated, the rear wiper blade will automatically wipe the window when the reverse gear is engaged, making for safer parking maneuvers. A 360-degree surround view camera is available as part of the Pinnacle sub-trim.

Thankfully, the Mercedes-Benz EQB SUV is yet to be recalled for any issues in the American market. It's still a relatively new entrant to the automotive landscape, but it seems the EQB is a solidly built machine - few complaints have cropped up. It seems that EQB SUV reliability isn't something to worry about.

Unfortunately, J.D. Power is yet to evaluate the EQB for reliability and quality.
