The range-topping E450 4Matic isn't more refined, more luxurious, or safer, but it sure is faster. For 2021 Mercedes-Benz dropped the old turbocharged V6 in favor of a slightly more powerful and much smoother turbocharged 3.0-liter inline-six. This lowered the 0-60 mph sprint to only 4.9 seconds while improving gas mileage to 23/30/25 mpg. The EQ Boost system no doubt plays a role here, while also providing an immediate 184 lb-ft of torque to fill in lower in the rev range. Its larger 21.1-gallon fuel tank gives it an impressive range, and a set of sport brakes is a clever addition to this more powerful model. Other than the bigger engine, the rest of the feature list is shared with the other E-Class trims.
