The GT350R is a considerably more aggressive track weapon with a lower top speed of 173 mph versus the regular model’s 180. This is thanks to more downforce as a result of a grippier front end. It also has been on a comprehensive weight-watching course, shedding some 268 pounds through lightweight materials and the deletion of the rear seats. Many of the features and options available to the base trim, like a 12-speaker Bang & Olufsen sound system and voice-activated navigation are available here, but the most obvious comfort feature, leather seats with power adjustment and both heating and cooling functions, is not available. It’s not undrivable or unmanageable on the street, but its certainly more at home on the track.
