Alpina keeps well away from BMW’s M division by building an SUV that’s rapid in a straight line but still very much comfort-biased. On the inside, Alpina elevates the X7 by adding Merino leather, an Alcantara headliner, and 18-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and massaging. Alpina keeps the 12.3-inch touchscreen but switches the iDrive controller, shifter, and steering wheel with higher quality items. Thanks to the increase in power, the XB7 can accelerate to 60 mph in four seconds and reach a top speed of 180 mph. The bespoke suspension ensures a sublime ride.
