2023 Bentley Bentayga Safety and Reliability

Exclusive high-end cars are not usually rated by the IIHS or the NHTSA, so there's no official safety review for the Bentley Bentayga. With an impressive list of essential safety features, we estimate that it's a safe SUV. Since it uses the same platform as the Audi Q7 and Porsche Cayenne, we have a baseline standard. Both these cars have high safety ratings.

The Bentayga has dual front, front, and rear side curtain and front and rear thorax airbags. Traditional safety kit like a rearview camera, traction and stability control, ABS brakes, and the basic crash mitigation and detection systems. The Touring specification adds advanced driver assistance features like lane-keep assist, a head-up display, traffic assist, night vision, and adaptive cruise control - these items are all standard on Azure specification models, while optionally available to the rest of the lineup.

While the 2023 Bentayga was free of recalls at the time of writing, 2022 models had three notices issued by the NHTSA for blank rearview camera imaging, incorrectly installed second-row seats, and incorrect airbag information in the owner's manual. 2021 models are faultless, but in 2020 there were a spate of recalls again.
