The CarBuzz team lists their top three things they loved this year in car news.

The entire CarBuzz team would like to wish all of our readers a happy Thanksgiving and extend our thanks to all of you who have followed us and helped us grow over the past year with your suggestions and feedback. CarBuzz wouldn't be possible without our incredible community of readers and we thank you for your continued support. The CarBuzz staff would like to share with you some of the things we are grateful for that arrived over the past year in automotives. Happy Thanksgiving!

Editor-at-Large Jay Traugott Jay is thankful for the development of better technology in the area of safety, mainly airbags, for "otherwise my skull would now have a massive dent." He also appreciates Singer, for "reviving the art of coachbuilding for the 21st century" and for Mazda's SkyActive engines "because they are not hybrids." News Editor Phillip Harbor Phil is giving thanks for the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, as 650hp and a top speed of 200mph is the "epitome of awesomeness in a muscle car."

Phil is also thankful for Akrapovic's lightweight titanium exhaust systems, as the addition of one means instant boosts in power and performance. Lastly, he is appreciative of the work of Sergio Scaglietti, the legendary Ferrari designer who passed away this week at the age of 91. Scaglietti created several of his favorite designs, such as the Ferrari 375 MM and the 250 Testa Rossa. Technical Editor Jacob Joseph Jake is thankful first and foremost for gasoline direct injection, as it improves volumetric engine efficiency. Second is Red Bull for the many automotive events and race teams they sponsor.

Last but not least, Jake is thankful for the Dodge Challenger SRT8 392, as it is "just plain badass." News Writer Adam His far-too-late discovery of the Lamborghini Miura SV, which he calls the "personification of sex on wheels." Everything related to Russia this year in car news and EVO's Chris Harris, for whom he refers to his man-crush as "the Stig with a voice."
