No Top Gear season will be complete without some crazy challenges for our entertainment, either. In the last season, we watched in fear as Flintoff bravelybungee jumped off a dam in a car, but the new season will feature one of the show's most daring stunts yet with the presenters driving around a wall of death in old insurance write-offs. Paddy looks genuinely scared for his life. There's also an electric car race around a theme park, a race down a ski slope in Cyprus using rental cars, and a series of challenges to test a custom-built, all-terrain ice cream van.

As we already know, thechallenge didn't go well, as Paddy loses control of the Diablo and crashes into a fence. We get to see the aftermath of the crash as the damaged Diablo is driven away on the back of a truck, but we'll have to wait until the episode airs to find out exactly what happened.

Top Gear episodes are filmed with a live studio audience, but the global pandemic made it impossible to film the show in its usual format. For the new season, the Top Gear studio was turned into a drive-in theater with audience members watching the show from the socially-distanced safety of their cars.

There's no air date yet, but Top Gear season 29 will likely air in the UK later this month. US viewers will have to wait a little longer, as season 28, which features Chris Harris racing a jet fighter in a McLaren Speedtail, is currently airing on BBC America.
